Wedding Weekend

We are back from Wisconsin. Julie, one of my roommates from Clarke College got married on Saturday. We got to the church in about 3 1/2 hours. Katie was scheduled to hand out programs at the ceremony so we got there about an hour early. She did a WONDERFUL job, and was very proud of herself. She even got a corsage and a couple presents from Julie for helping out.

(That's a smiley face tattoo on her arm. :))

After the wedding ceremony, we had a few hours to check into the hotel and rest. The kids had other ideas. We stayed at a Bestwestern hotel which had a pool - but not just any pool. The kiddie pool had a water slide, the bigger pool also had a slide, and they had a hot tub. Katie REALLY enjoyed the kiddie pool - it was just her size. Of course, I don't have a picture of her and Will in the pool - I kept forgetting my camera! But they had a good time. Will just attacked the water. He liked to splash around in the 3 inch area - and then he would just start crawling into the deeper water. He just kept going and going and going...we would have to pull him out of the water because it would be over his mouth. ;)

At the reception we sat at a table with a couple and their 3 children. Katie pretty much hung out the rest of the night with their 8 year old daughter. :) Katie and Will ate pretty well too - Will liked the potatoes and peas, Katie liked the bread and chicken. Once the dance started - we didn't really see Katie the rest of the night. :) I went out a few times to dance with her and was ordered off the dance floor. She told me to "Just go somewhere else! Mom, you are embarrassing!" I knew that time would come...I just didn't think it would come at age 4.

Will crashed around 10...just couldn't hold on. But he got some dancing in as well with some bridesmaids. :)

Congratulations Julie and Russ!

What a cute little dancer! Your letting her grow up way too fast.lol Just hard to beleive she is just a little 4-yr old. Just can't wait to see her this week-end. Let Will rest and I'll be ready for him too. Love Grandma Hanson

Wow, Katie you looked great! Will looked a little tuckered out, must have been too much fun for him! Katie, Sarah is planning on having a sleepover with you at Grandma's house Saturday night if that works for you... just thought I would let you know. Also, Deb, get used to being embarrasing it is one of the perks of being a mom -- I tell Sarah it is my JOB to be embarrasing :)
